The county it occurred in is about 6-7 hrs away, will the local police be able to help me pull my records? (I live in California if it matters)

Okay, so the situation is this.
A few weeks ago my friend called the police because she thought I had killed myself, she was obviously wrong. The police came to my house in the middle of the night and said she had called them. I told them I was fine and they left.

I’m applying for work that requires a criminal history check to be done and I was wondering what results are actually given in these checks? Will that misunderstanding mentioned above come up in the check?

What items would be considered negative strikes against you in consideration for employment? I am starting to go out to look for work. My credit report is so horrible since being laid off a year ago.
